Girls Weekend!

This weekend, Maya, Annie, and I set off on a girls weekend to stay with my sister, Steph, and nieces in the cities while Rob worked and my brother-in-law traveled to California.  Maya is NOT a great traveler.  Although tired, she cried on and off for most of the trip there.  Ugh...  However, once we arrived she was happy as can be once she was able to run around with her cousins.

On Saturday, we all relaxed around the house and then went to Ava's gymnastics class.  Maya wanted to climb ALL over the mats and equipment.  After a bit, we brought her into the hallway to run up and down the halls.  She loved hearing her voice echo in the basement hallways.  After gymnastics, it was time for lunch and a nap.   Unfortunately, I had to miss Ella's gymnastics class because it was RIGHT during Maya's nap time.  I hope to see her sometime before the season is over!

That afternoon my friend Jenni came to Steph's to hang out with us for the night.  It is always great to spend time with her relaxing and catching up.  She is always a great help with Maya, too!  Steph, Jenni, the girls, and I spent the evening hanging out, eating Chinese take-out, and playing!  

Sunday morning, Maya and I woke up and headed out after breakfast.  We stopped by my cousin Terren's house to visit her before heading home.  I hadn't seen her in far too long and it was GREAT to see her!  

After a weekend away, it was great to get home to my honey and my kitties!
